To access your course, go to www.mycoursepage.com
Enter the requested information and click on the Login button.
- In Internet Explorer click on “tools” highlight pop-up blocker.
- Click “turn off pop-up blocker”
Note if you have any toolbars installed (AOL, Yahoo, Google, etc) each of these toolbars have Pop-up blockers built into them, and will need to be disabled. You can disable the toolbars by clicking on "View" in internet explorer, highlight "toolbars" and uncheck any additional toolbars listed.
The course MUST be taken with the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser, version 5.5 or higher in order to run successfully. If you do not have the correct version, you can access the free download from Microsoft's website at www.microsoft.com/ie.
If you are running a course under any other browser including AOL's browser or MSN's browser, you will need to follow these instructions:
- Connect to the internet through your Internet Service Provider.
Once connected to the internet, minimize but do not close, your connection window.
- Click on your Windows "Start" button, click programs
- Click on Internet Explorer.
- Type "www.mycoursepage" in the address window and click on the "OK" button.
- Enter your information, then click the Login button
- First, make sure you have Internet Explorer version 5.5 or greater.
- In Internet Explorer, open the Tools menu from the menu bar and select Internet Options. Click the Settings button, mark "Every visit to the page," also under amount of disk space to use set it to 1500mb (or higher). In Internet explorer 7 set to 1000mb.
- Next, click on the Security tab. The Security Level slider should be set to medium. If it is currently set to Custom Settings, then click the Default Level button and change then set the slider to medium. Click yes to any warnings and then click the Apply button.
- Next, go to the Privacy tab and set the slider to Accept All Cookies. Click the Apply button.
- Next, click on the Advanced tab and scroll down to the bottom of the list. Look for "Use SSL 2.0" and "Use SSL 3.0;" both of these items should have a checkmark in their boxes. Also verify that "Empty Temporary Internet Files Folder When Browser is Closed" has a checkmark in its box. Then click the Apply button.
- Finally, click OK to exit the Internet Options screen.
- Exit the course, then check your Internet Explorer settings. .
- In Internet Explorer, open the Tools menu from the menu bar and select Internet Options. Click the Delete Files button that is on the General tab, check the box that says "Delete all offline content" and click OK.
- (In internet explorer 7, click on Tools>Internet Options, under Browsing History click Delete. On the next box click “delete files” next to Temporary Internet Files)
- Next, click on the Security tab. The Security Level slider should be set to medium. If it is currently set to Custom Settings, then click the Default Level button and change then set the slider to medium. Click yes to any warnings and then click the Apply button.
- Next, click on the Content tab and verify that the Content Advisor is disabled. (If the Content Adviser is disabled you will see a button that says “Enable.”)
Click the Apply button.
- Next, go to the Privacy tab and set the slider to Accept All Cookies. Click the Apply button.
- Next, click on the Advanced tab and scroll down to the bottom of the list. Look for “Use SSL 2.0” and “Use SSL 3.0;” both of these items should have a checkmark in their boxes. Also verify that “Empty Temporary Internet Files Folder When Browser is Closed” has a checkmark in its box. Then click the Apply button.
- Finally, click OK to exit the Internet Options screen
If you are experiencing problems viewing the entire course or you can not see the "Install" button, then you may need to change some of your display settings.
- Click on the Windows "Start" button. Select "Settings" then "Control Panel."
- In the "Control Panel" window, double-click on the "Display" icon. A Display Properties window will appear.
- In the Display Properties window, click on the Settings tab (near the top right of the window). Look for a heading of "Screen Area" or "Screen Resolution." The slider beneath this heading can be used to adjust your screen resolution. Move the slide until the setting reads "800 by 600 pixels," then click the OK button. NOTE: Verify that your monitor and video driver support a screen resolution of 800 by 600 before you change this setting.
- After you have resized your screen, you will see another message box asking if you would like to keep the current settings. Click “Yes” to keep the current changes.
- Close your control panel by clicking the "X" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. After closing the control panel, either restart course if you were having trouble seeing full screen, or follow directions to install course again if you were having trouble seeing the "Install" button.
- Put the CD in your CD-ROM drive.
- Double-click on the "My Computer" icon.
- From the list of drives, double-click the CD-ROM drive.
- Double-click the “Install” folder.
- Look for the file named "setup.exe" and double-click it. This will begin the installation process.
You must have Internet Explorer version 5.5 or greater to run the course. If you do not have the correct version, you can access a free download of the most current version from Microsoft's website at www.microsoft.com/ie.
Generally, this error message appears because the information you are entering in the log-in page does not match what was provided during registration for either your last name, the last 4 digits of your social security number or the year of birth. You should contact your school or Tech Support to verify that your registration information matches what you are entering at the log in screen.
Completion certificates are not available online. Your school will provide you with your completion certificate
